Lacey has been a nurse for 23 years, after inspiration from her late mother, who was also
a Registered Nurse. She began her career as an ER nurse. She then moved to the Black
Hills area serving as a life flight nurse for 2 years. In 2007, she became the Emergency
Department Director at Spearfish Regional Hospital serving in this position until 2016.
While at Regional Health she received many honors for her roles, including “Spirit Award,”
“Most Innovative Evaluation,” and the “Regional Way Leadership Award” in 2011.
In 2016, she received her Masters of Science in Nursing Management and Leadership,
and took a position as the Director of Medical-Surgical Floor at Sheridan Memorial
Hospital in Sheridan, Wyoming from 2016-2021, where she also was President Elect of
the Wyoming Nurses Association in 2021.
Lacey then decided her and her family would move back to the Black Hills. That move
landed her with Heartland Home Health. While serving as a home health nurse, she
recognized her passion for Hospice care. Lacey has helped lead the development of the
Hospice program transintioning Heartland Home Health to Heartland Home Health
and Hospice.
She has a passion for patient care and ensuring that all patients receive the highest
quality care. Lacey and her husband, Nate, still reside in Belle Fourche and they have
two adult sons.
